What's in the kit
Simple enough to do at the kitchen table
No blood, no needles, no clinic visit. Samples are stable at room temperature, so no refrigeration is needed on the way to the lab.

Register the kit
In your app, or on our unbranded registration page. This links the barcode to the person giving the sample.
Swab both cheeks
Rub the swab on the inside of the cheek, then repeat with the second swab.
Seal the tubes
Snap each swab into its tube. US kits use a tube with preservation liquid; EU kits use a dry swab.
Send it to the lab
Results are ready in about 10 business days for genotyping, or 3 weeks for 40X whole genome.

Questions about samples
Is this a saliva or blood test?
Neither. It's a cheek swab, collected at home in a few minutes.
Does the sample need refrigeration?
No. Both the US liquid-tube kit and the EU dry-swab kit keep the sample stable at room temperature. Avoid leaving it somewhere very hot.
Why do kits have to be registered?
Registration ties the barcode to one person. Without it, households that order several kits can mix up samples.
Can customers add reports later?
Yes. Once the genome is processed, new reports run on the same data with no new sample.
Which test should we offer?
Genotyping covers wellness, nutrition and risk at the lowest price. 40X whole genome adds rare functional and rare medical variants and clinical reports for programs with a clinician.
Can we use our own sequencing lab?
Yes. We accept whole genomes from any sequencing lab, and can partner with the lab of your choice for kits too.
