This notice explains how OmicsEdge collects and uses personal information through omicsedge.com and in its business relationships. OmicsEdge is the business-to-business brand of Omics Edge LLC, part of Genius Labs Company, the company behind SelfDecode and PromicsEdge. Our address is 1030 15th St #207, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA.
2. Our role: controller or processor
We handle personal information in two different roles, and the rules that apply depend on which one.
- Visitors and business contacts. When you visit this website, book a call, or work with us on behalf of a company, we decide how your information is used. We are the controller, and this notice applies.
- Our partners' customers. When a partner uses OmicsEdge to provide DNA tests, reports or apps to its own customers, the partner decides how that data is used and we process it on the partner's behalf, under a data processing agreement (DPA) or, in the US, a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) where required. If you bought a test or use an app from one of our partners, that partner's privacy policy applies and your requests should go to the partner first. We help partners respond.
3. What we collect on this website
- Information you give us: your name, work email, company, website, role, the details you enter when booking a call, and anything you write to us.
- Information collected automatically: basic technical information such as browser type and IP address, needed to deliver the site securely. We do not currently use analytics or marketing tools (see section 11).
- Information from others: business contact details from colleagues who refer you, event organisers or public professional profiles.
We do not ask for genetic or health information on this website.
4. How we use it
- To answer enquiries, prepare for and hold calls, and send proposals (to take steps at your request before a contract, or our legitimate interest in running our business).
- To manage contracts and partner accounts, and to provide support (performance of a contract).
- To send occasional updates about our products to business contacts, with an unsubscribe link in every email (legitimate interest or consent, depending on where you are).
- To keep the website secure and working (legitimate interest).
- If we add analytics in future, to understand how the website is used, only with your consent.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Who we share it with
- Sub-processors: we do not use third-party sub-processors to process personal information collected through this website.
- Service providers that support our partner services, such as data hosting, under contracts that require them to protect the information.
- Companies in our group (SelfDecode and PromicsEdge), where needed to provide our services.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, and a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganised, under the same protections.
6. Genetic and health data we process for partners
When we process DNA, lab and health data for a partner, we act on the partner's instructions and under its agreement with us. In that role:
- We never sell genetic or health data.
- Samples are pseudonymised: the laboratory sees a kit barcode, not a name.
- Data is encrypted (AES-256) and access is limited to authorised staff.
- Data is hosted in the US for partners outside the EU and in the EU (Frankfurt) for partners in the EU, and EU data stays in the EU.
- We delete data within 30 days of a verified deletion request passed to us by the partner.
- We use individual-level data only to provide the service. Any research use requires the individual's explicit consent.
7. Where data is stored
Website and business contact data is stored by us and our service providers in the United States and the European Union. When personal information about people in the EEA, UK or Switzerland is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we use the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful safeguard.
8. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and contact details for as long as we have a business relationship, and for 90 days after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Contract and invoice records are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require.
9. Security
We use encryption, access controls with multi-factor authentication, least-privilege permissions and intrusion detection. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires. Partners can request our security pack: a recent completed security audit, our security policies and our security self-assessment.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent. California and other US state residents have similar rights, including the right to know, delete and correct information and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information and will not discriminate against you for using your rights.
Email legal@omicsedge.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity. People in the EU can also contact our EU representative at legal@omicsedge.com, and anyone can complain to their local data protection authority.
11. Cookies and tracking
Today this website uses only strictly necessary cookies, which keep it secure and working. It does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, pixels or similar tools.

If we add analytics in future, for example Google Analytics or Amplitude, we will update this notice first, and those tools will load only after you accept them. You will be able to change your choice at any time from a Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, and we will honour the Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser as an opt-out.
We do not use session-recording or "replay" tools, and we do not allow third parties to read the contents of the forms on this site.
12. Children
This website and our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
13. Changes and contact
We will post any changes here and update the date below; if the changes are significant, we will tell our partners directly. Questions or requests: legal@omicsedge.com.
